SOUTH PLAINFIELD, N.J. (Sept. 1, 2025) — Firefighters in South Plainfield put out a garbage can fire late Monday at the corner of Oak Tree Road and Chase Drive, officials said.
Crews were dispatched at 10:13 p.m. Chief 50 confirmed the fire was inside a bus stop shelter, and Engine 4 stretched a 1¾-inch front bumper line to extinguish it.
