Third-Floor Fire in Point Pleasant Quickly Contained by Multiple Departments

Ocean Fire Company, Point Pleasant Beach Fire Company #2, and Point Pleasant First Aid & Emergency Squad responded to a structure fire in the 700 block of Atlantic Avenue. Upon arrival, Chief 4210 confirmed a working fire located on the third floor of the residence.

Engine 4201 responded and assumed the role of Engine 1, stretching a hoseline to the third floor. Truck 4305 and South Wall Engine 3 arrived shortly after and took on truck company responsibilities, conducting primary searches of the home and opening up for the hoseline. Crews located the fire in the knee walls on the third floor and successfully extinguished it.


Additional manpower arrived to assist with overhaul operations. The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Point Pleasant Beach Fire Marshal’s Office.


Ocean Fire Company extended its thanks to South Wall Fire Rescue, Point Pleasant Fire Department Station 75, Point Boro EMS, Bay Head Fire Company No. 1, and the Point Pleasant Beach Police Department for their assistance on scene.
