In the late evening out of September 12th the Yaphank fire department was activated for a reported brush fire Ivo Todd ct. on arrival of 5-30-31 he had a 20 by 10 area burning. GI 6 quickly got on the road with a full crew and extinguished all fire. Crews went back into service within 30 minutes later.
