YAPHANK, NY – In the late evening of September 12th, the Yaphank Fire Department was activated for a reported brush fire in the vicinity of Todd Court. Upon arrival, 5-30-31 reported a 20-by-10-foot area actively burning. GI-6 quickly responded with a full crew and successfully extinguished the fire. Crews returned to service approximately 30 minutes later.
