Vehicle Into Building 2nd Alarm Structure Fire Lower Macungie Township

On Sept. 4th Around 5:40 pm the Lower Macungie Fire Departmant and quint 25 from the Upper Macungie Fire Department were dispatched for a dwelling fire at 6168 Sauterne Drive In Lower Macungie Township. On arrival an L.M.F.D. officer had a vehicle into the structure with fire and smoke showing, A neighbor rescued the driver out of the car. Units arrived on the scene and went into service with hand lines. The 2nd alarm was transmitted at 5:58 pm which brought to the scene the following fire departments, Emmaus, Western salisbury, Engine 56 from the U.M.F.D,, Topton, Kutztown, an a A.F.D engine for rit and air 32. A short time later the evacuation tones were put out and all personal evacuated the building and it went to an exterior attack and aerial units were put into service.
