FORT ANN, NY — Volunteer firefighters investigated a pre-dawn audible alarm in a local residence early Monday morning, confirming the property was secure and commending the occupant for executing an immediate, textbook evacuation.
At approximately 3:00 a.m. on August 24, the Fort Ann Volunteer Fire Company was dispatched to a reported audible residential fire alarm that awakened the homeowner from sleep. Upon waking, the resident immediately evacuated the structure and placed a 911 call from a safe location outside.
