Orange Lake Firefighters Respond to Rock Cut Road Crash

NEWBURGH, NY — Emergency personnel responded to Rock Cut Road after a single vehicle left the roadway and struck a pole, prompting a temporary road closure while crews operated at the scene.

The incident occurred Saturday, September 12, in the Town of Newburgh, New York. Orange Lake Fire Department responded for the fire assignment, with Town of Newburgh EMS, Town of Newburgh Police and New York State Police also operating at the scene.

The driver and passenger were out of the vehicle when firefighters arrived. Orange Lake personnel secured the vehicle while EMS evaluated the passenger, who declined medical treatment. Rock Cut Road was closed between Third Street and Coolour Road while emergency personnel worked at the scene.

New York State Police were investigating the cause of the crash.
