On Monday night, the Tisbury Fire Department, together with the Island Wide Water Taskforce, carried out a large-scale training drill that stretched into the late hours. Firefighters from Tisbury, Oak Bluffs, Edgartown, West Tisbury, Chilmark, and Aquinnah came together for this valuable exercise.

The drill simulated a fire in a location without easy access to hydrants, testing the ability of multiple departments to coordinate water tankers and shuttle supplies to the fire ground. This joint effort strengthened inter-town collaboration and ensured crews are ready for emergencies in remote areas of the Island.
