September 9, 2025 — At 10:54 a.m. Tuesday, Bartlett firefighters were dispatched to a reported outside fire in Hart’s Location. Car 1, Forestry 1, Engine 3, and Rescue 1 responded.
Upon arrival, crews found approximately a 50-by-100-foot area burning along a steep riverbank. Firefighters stretched nearly 700 feet of hose to reach the fire. Additional support was requested from the Jackson Firefighter’s Association, bringing Jackson’s Forestry 1 and Engine 8 to the scene.
The fire was fully extinguished, and extensive mop-up operations were completed by 2:38 p.m.
The department reminds residents that, despite recent rainfall, fire danger remains elevated and is likely to worsen in the coming days.
