September 9, 2025 — At noon Tuesday, Campton-Thornton Fire Rescue, the Thornton Police Department, and New Hampshire State Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on I-93 northbound near Mile Marker 91.8.

Ambulance 1 and Rescue 1 arrived to find a pickup truck with an empty boat trailer that had left the roadway and struck several trees. The driver and their dog were trapped inside due to downed branches but were not reported injured.

Fire crews used saws to remove branches and gain access to the cab. Both the occupant and the dog were safely assisted out of the vehicle. The patient was transported to the hospital by Ambulance 1 for evaluation, while the dog was kept safe and comfortable inside Utility 1 until being reunited with family via the tow truck operator, who knew the owner.

Crews remained on scene to assist with vehicle removal. No additional injuries were reported, and the crash remains under investigation by NH State Police.
