BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (Aug. 21, 2025) — Bridgeport Fire Department recruits spent the week training on ladder operations, practicing proper placement, throwing techniques and working from heights.
The drills are part of core firefighter training, designed to prepare recruits for safe and effective use of ladders during emergencies, officials said.
