NEWTOWN, Conn. (Aug. 6, 2025) — Botsford Fire Rescue responded Wednesday to Toddy Hill Road after a Jeep Wrangler pulling a trailer of firewood was left abandoned, officials said.
Police requested the response after the vehicle became disabled and leaked oil, according to the department. Firefighters checked the Jeep for hazards but found none.
The road was briefly closed while a tow company removed the vehicle and trailer.
