Botsford crews assist Newtown firefighters after car strikes building

NEWTOWN, Conn. (Aug. 26, 2025) — Botsford Fire Rescue responded Tuesday morning as the second due company to a vehicle crash in which a car struck a building, trapping the driver inside.
Newtown Hook & Ladder firefighters were first on scene and began extrication efforts. The occupant was freed from the vehicle and transferred to Newtown EMS for medical care, officials said.
The Newtown fire marshal, building inspector and health department were also called to evaluate the scene.
