WASHINGTONVILLE, N.Y. (Aug. 27, 2025) — Members of the Vigilant Fire Company sharpened their skills during a training session Wednesday night that combined interior operations with decontamination and rehab procedures.

Interior crews completed an obstacle course before returning for decontamination practice. At the same time, other members reviewed how to set up supplies for gross decontamination and what hall items must be collected and brought to a scene for firefighter rehab.

Officials said the drill allowed members to practice a range of responsibilities that support both fire attack and firefighter safety.
