LANCASTER, N.Y. (Sept. 11, 2025) — The Town Line Volunteer Fire Department on Thursday joined in remembering the victims and responders of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, marking the 24th anniversary of one of the nation’s darkest days.
In a statement, the department honored the firefighters and emergency personnel who died that day and those who later succumbed to illnesses tied to recovery work at Ground Zero.
The tribute also recognized the passengers of Flight 93, co-workers who helped one another to safety and the families and friends left behind.
Officials urged residents to pause and reflect on the lives lost and to recall the sense of unity that followed the attacks.
