Newfields Issues Burn Ban Update

August 30, 2025 — The Newfields Fire Department has announced that burn permits will not be issued until further notice due to dry conditions. Fire pits and chimineas will still be allowed, but residents are urged to use extreme caution, as wooded areas remain very dry.
“Thank you for your cooperation,” the department said in its notice.
