Douglas firefighters train with drones, prepare for charity softball tournament

DOUGLAS, Mass. (Sept. 6, 2025) — Douglas firefighters balanced work and play Saturday morning, taking part in training and community preparation at Soldier’s Field.
Off-duty members gathered to practice for the annual Massachusetts Fire District 7 charity softball tournament, while on-duty personnel conducted drone training exercises.
The drills included identifying people as targets, operating thermal imaging cameras and setting up live streaming of drone footage to multiple devices.
