CHARLTON, Mass. (Aug. 13, 2025) — Charlton Fire Department officials inspected their soon-to-arrive Rescue 1 this week, reviewing the vehicle at Marion Body Works to ensure it meets all specifications.

Captain Ouellette and Lt. Hamberg have been at the manufacturer’s facility in recent days for the final inspection. The department said the new truck is expected to be placed in service within the next month.

Officials said the apparatus was built to meet Charlton’s operational needs and will strengthen the department’s ability to serve the community.
