East Haddam Firefighters Responded to One-Car MVA

EAST HADDAM, CT — August 23 — The East Haddam Fire Department was called by Valley Shore Communications at 6:24 p.m.for a one-car motor vehicle accident that happened at the intersection of West Road and Woodbridge Road.


Fire engines 4-15, 2-15, and 1-15 responded to the scene.

The vehicle's occupant had already exited the car on their own before emergency responders arrived, which allowed firefighters to concentrate on making the scene safe, assessing the patient, and handling other aspects of the incident.


Firefighters secured the area, checked on the occupant, and managed the incident effectively.

No further information about injuries or damage to the vehicle was provided.


Valley Shore Emergency Communications acted as the public safety answering point for East Haddam and handled emergency communications for the region.


The East Haddam Fire Department's role is to protect people and property during fires, emergencies, and disasters by using trained personnel and proper equipment.
