EDEN, N.Y. (Sept. 7, 2025) — Eden emergency services held a grain bin rescue training exercise Sunday with support from neighboring departments.

The session included members of Eden Fire, East Eden Fire Company and Eden Emergency & Rescue Squad, which recently purchased new equipment for grain bin emergencies.

Officials thanked community donors who helped fund the purchase. Zittle’s Farm hosted the training and provided food, joined by Haiers Fire Extinguishers and Upstate Farms, which also contributed food and milk.

Department leaders credited members who organized the event for their time and effort.
