STURBRIDGE, Mass. (Aug. 24, 2025) — Two people suffered minor injuries Sunday morning when two vehicles collided near gas pumps at the Stop & Shop station on Route 20, officials said.
Sturbridge Fire dispatched a first-alarm assignment at 11:08 a.m. Ambulance 1 and Car 10 responded with on-duty personnel, while Rescue 1 and a service truck arrived with off-duty members.
One vehicle came close to striking a fuel pump but did not cause major damage, fire officials said. Sturbridge and Charlton ambulances transported the patients to Harrington Hospital’s emergency room with minor injuries.
Crews also contained fluid spills and cleared debris. Units were released after about 40 minutes.
