Vehicle Fire on Black Horse Pike: Quick Response Contained Fully Involved Incident in Atlantic County

Egg Harbor TWP, NJ - Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company units have been dispatched in Atlantic County to the 6600 block of the Black Horse Pike for a reported vehicle fire, where smoke and flames were observed upon arrival and the incident was quickly confirmed to be well involved.
Upon arrival, Rescue 1517 from Cardiff along with apparatus from Bargaintown Volunteer Fire Company have found the vehicle fully involved, prompting an immediate and agressive fire attack with emphasis on preventing extension and securing the roadway environment.
On 31 August in Atlantic County, firefighters have worked in coordination with the Egg Harbor Township Police Department and EHT Rescue Squad, managing scene safety, traffic control, and supression operations while crews have brought the fire under control and completed extinguishment.
The vehicle has been fully consumed but successfully contained to the point of origin, with no reported injuries. Bargaintown Fire Chief Gene Sharpe has served as incident commander, directing coordinated operations through knockdown, overhaul, and final scene clearance.
