The Grand Isle Volunteer Fire Department scheduled two fire department events on the 20th September, 2025. From 7:30–10:30 a.m., the Grand Isle Fire Department Auxiliary planned a fundraiser breakfast at the Masonic Lodge in South Hero. Then from 11:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m., the Grand Isle Fire Department invited residents to an Open House at 17 Hyde Road, featuring station and apparatus tours, fire-prevention giveaways, a chance to “put out” a mock house fire with a real hose, and complimentary hot dogs, chips, drinks, and desserts. The open house was free and family-friendly.
