After an incredible 41 years of dedicated service to the City of Belfast and our surrounding communities, Assistant Chief Keith Pooler has officially hung up his helmet and retired.

Keith began his journey with the Belfast Fire Department in June of 1984. Over the decades, he worked his way through the ranks with commitment and pride, ultimately serving as Assistant Chief. Alongside his fire service, Keith also devoted much of his career to Belfast Public Works and the Belfast Water District.

Known for his reliability, deep knowledge of the community, and steady presence on the fireground, Keith has been a cornerstone of the department. His leadership, experience, and many hats worn over the years leave behind some very big shoes to fill.

We wish Keith a retirement filled with sunshine, relaxation, and plenty of camping trips. Thank you for everything, Keith—you’ve truly made a lasting impact on Belfast!
