Armor firefighters provide standby coverage during Scranton community event

SCRANTON, N.Y. (Aug. 22, 2025) — Armor Volunteer Fire Company provided coverage Friday evening during Scranton Volunteer Fire Company’s community days festivities, officials said.
Armor Engine 2, led by Assistant Chiefs Schmid and Bienias, was stationed at the event. Armor 8, staffed with four EMTs, handled two EMS calls while on a townwide standby.
