Thomaston crews assist at St. George house fire

ST. GEORGE, Maine (Aug. 21, 2025) — Thomaston firefighters provided mutual aid Thursday afternoon during a reported structure fire in St. George, officials said.
The call came in while Thomaston members were conducting driver training. Crews responded with a ladder truck, setting it up at the scene and supplying a backup interior crew.
Fire officials credited the quick 911 call and the combined response of multiple departments with helping save the house.
