Quick Response Prevents Major Damage in Ridge Road Bathroom Fire”

On August 26 at 9:41 a.m., the fire department responded to a report of smoke filling a residence at 44 Ridge Road. Upon arrival, firefighters determined the fire originated in a trash can located in the basement bathroom. The fire was quickly extinguished, and the cause was traced to improperly discarded smoking materials. Other than a small charred area on the floor, no significant damage occurred.
