Owls Head firefighters handle CO alarm, cooking mishap in busy day

OWLS HEAD, Maine (Aug. 22, 2025) — Owls Head firefighters started Friday with a carbon monoxide alarm investigation and ended the day at a reported structure fire that turned out to be a cooking mishap, officials said.
Crews ventilated the home, and no fire was found.
The department thanked its mutual aid partners for their support during the calls.
