Car fire burns at Palmyra intersection

PALMYRA, Maine (Aug. 6, 2025) — Newport firefighters extinguished a fully involved car fire Wednesday night at the intersection of Hope Road and Libby Hill Road, officials said.
The blaze was reported at about 9:20 p.m. Units 691, 694 and 699 responded. Corinna Fire supplied a tanker to aid in suppression efforts.
