MILLINOCKET, Maine (Aug. 9, 2025) — Two vehicles were destroyed Saturday morning after a fire spread into nearby woods on Beech Street, fire officials said.

The blaze was reported at 10:57 a.m. at 3 Beech Street. Crews arrived to find two vehicles fully engulfed, flames threatening other cars and extending into the woods.

Firefighters deployed two attack lines and hand tools to contain the fire and extinguish hotspots. The scene was cleared about one hour later.

No injuries were reported. Officials said about 1,500 gallons of water were used, and six firefighters were on scene.
