CHESTER, N.H. (Aug. 22, 2025) — A Chester Fire Department per diem firefighter completed certification testing Friday at Wason Pond to qualify as a driver and operator of Ladder 1 and Tanker 1.
The training included operating the apparatus to supply multiple hose lines and the ladder with water at proper pressures, officials said.
All driver-operators must complete the certification before being cleared to operate the department’s primary fire apparatus.
