Gales Ferry, Ledyard Firefighters Knocked Down Indiantown Road Blaze

Monday, 11 August 2025, at 2:13 p.m. – The Gales Ferry Volunteer Fire Company and the Ledyard Fire Company, with automatic aid from the Mashantucket Fire Department, responded to a house fire in the 100 block of Indiantown Road.
Fire crews arrived to find an outside-in fire and quickly began suppression efforts, search operations, and vertical ventilation. Tanker 24 and Ladder 25 operated at the scene for approximately two hours before returning to district.
No injuries were reported. The Ledyard Fire Marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze.
