Mastic FD Cleans up a Messy William Floyd Parkway After Crash.

Shirley NY- On Saturday August 29, 2020 at about 11:45 AM the Mastic FD was activated along for a vehicle crash in front of 441 northbound William Floyd Parkway. Lieutenant Rudy M.Sunderman was the first on scene. He he advised he had a multi vehicle crash with no pin and no injuries, speedy dry and clean up would be needed. Engine 2 and Fire Police 80 arrived shortly after. Fire police went to work closing the road so that firefighters could safely operate.

Crews from Engine 2 and Rescue 10 were tasked with cleaning up fluids and debris from the parkway. Clean up took less then 20 minutes. Once the FD was done cleaning up SCPD took over traffic control keeping the left lane blocked until all vehicles were out of the roadway.
