Millbrook Fire Department handled three emergency calls in just over two hours on August 6, including two EMS assignments and a dumpster fire. The first EMS call was dispatched around 8:30 p.m., followed by a second that required Millbrook’s second ambulance. With both ambulances committed to patient transports, firefighters were then dispatched to a working dumpster fire. Amenia Ambulance provided EMS coverage at the fire scene until a Millbrook ambulance returned from the hospital. Firefighters encountered a dumpster that repeatedly reignited before the fire was fully extinguished at 9:53 p.m. After refilling apparatus water tanks, Millbrook returned to service at approximately 10:45 p.m. The department thanked Amenia Ambulance for providing mutual-aid coverage during the incident.
