WEBSTER, NH - A lightning strike set several trees on fire Saturday, September 6th, after an afternoon thunderstorm moved through the area, officials said. Webster Fire Chief C-1 investigated reports of smoke on Blackberry Road and found three trees struck and a fourth burning. Crews in Forestry 1 and Tanker 2 responded and quickly contained the fire, preventing it from spreading in the dry conditions.
