Litchfield Forestry 1, with Deputy Glancy, Captain Kelly, FF Sylvain, and FF Nader, is en route to North Hampton, NH, to assist with extinguishing a brush fire that has been burning for four days.

Our crew is part of a New Hampshire Forestry Strike Team, alongside teams from Mont Vernon, Mason, and Deering, supporting seacoast towns in tackling deep-seated “hot spots” caused by near-drought conditions. These four towns are members of the Souhegan Mutual Aid Compact, representing 16 communities across Hillsborough County. The effort is being coordinated by Chief Rick Todd, the Mutual Aid Group Coordinator.

Firefighters will face extreme heat and humid conditions, with temperatures reaching 91°F.

Stay safe and hydrated, and thank you to all crews for your hard work!
