Mutual-Aid Agencies Supported North Hudson MVA Response

NORTH HUDSON, NY — August 31 — The North Hudson Volunteer Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on Interstate 87 on August 31.Several agencies helped with the emergency response.


The accident involved a commercial vehicle that had overturned off the road.

North Hudson firefighters were at the scene along with personnel from Schroon Lake Fire Department, Schroon Lake EMS, Mineville-Witherbee Volunteer Fire Department, and Keene Valley Hose and Ladder No.1.HAZMAT teams also arrived, and LifeNet 713 provided air medical support.


The Essex County Sheriff’s Office, New York State Police, and New York State Department of Environmental Conservation were also on the scene.

Additional fire, EMS, and public-safety personnel covered neighboring areas while crews worked at the accident site.


The Town of North Hudson includes the volunteer fire department, State Police, Sheriff’s Office, and DEC as part of its local emergency resources.
