Tuesday, 19 August 2025 – The West Weathersfield Volunteer Fire Department (WWVFD) extended its gratitude to the Chester Fire Department for hosting a series of joint training sessions over the past several months.
The program provided firefighters with the opportunity to train in vacant houses, offering realistic scenarios and hands-on experience. The final training night was held on August 19, marking the conclusion of the sessions before the structures were no longer available.
WWVFD officials praised the partnership, calling it a valuable and successful learning experience that strengthened both departments’ skills and teamwork.
“Fantastic work by everyone involved,” the department shared, noting the importance of joint training in preparing for real-world emergencies.
