Rangeley firefighters complete skills test, propane training

RANGELEY, Maine (Aug. 24, 2025) — Rangeley Fire Rescue members capped off a weekend of training with a propane fire exercise Sunday, a day after several firefighters traveled to Bangor for their Firefighter I and II skills test.
The firefighters have logged more than 264 hours of training in the past six months, officials said. The department praised their dedication and commitment to community service.
The Maine Fire Service Institute provided the propane fire training prop, and an instructor traveled to Rangeley to lead the exercise.
