On Friday, August 8th, 2025, at 17:27 hrs while still in the process of servicing apparatus from an earlier structure fire, Phillips Fire was dispatched to Crosstown Road in Rangeley Plantation for a vegetation and forest fire burning on a large hillside.

Rangeley Fire requested additional manpower as the fire had spread underground, igniting roots and creating difficult conditions. Phillips personnel provided critical support with forestry operations, including the excavation of dirt to expose and extinguish the fire effectively.

Phillips responded with Attack 12, Rescue 13, and Chief-100, sending a crew of nine firefighters to assist at the scene. After working under the direction of Rangeley Fire command, Phillips crews were released and returned to station.
