CASTINE, Maine (Aug. 7, 2025) — A section of Castine Road was closed Thursday morning as crews resumed efforts to contain a wildfire that began a day earlier, fire officials said.
The closure extended from the intersection with Dunbar Road to Shore Road, according to the Penobscot Volunteer Fire Department.
Crews returned Thursday after first battling the fire Wednesday.
