South Windsor, CT - South Windsor Fire Department, along with assisting emergency services, responded to a two-vehicle motor vehicle crash on Route 5 (John Fitch Boulevard) southbound at the intersection of Pleasant Valley Road, where a collision resulted in roadway obstruction and required coordinated traffic control and patient care.

Upon arrival, crews found a two-car crash occupying the right southbound lane, with damage consistent with a moderate-impact collision. Emergency personnel immediately secured the scene, stabilized hazards, and ensured safe access for patient assessment.

The incident, which occurred on 2 September at approximately 1:45 PM in Hartford County, required lane closure while responders worked to manage the scene, treat occupants, and coordinate transport arrangements.

Squad 2, Engine 4, FP9, and Car 10 operated on scene with additional support from Rescue 5 and Engine 3, ensuring effective scene control and rapid response capabilities.

Two patients were transported to local hospitals by the Ambulance Service of Manchester for further evaluation and treatment. Fire personnel assisted with scene safety and traffic management until vehicles were removed and the roadway was cleared for normal flow.
