WAITSFIELD, Vt. (Aug. 6, 2025) — The Waitsfield-Fayston Fire Department conducted a training session Wednesday evening focused on speed and efficiency in emergency response.

Firefighters practiced donning their gear within one minute and reviewed proper techniques for removing hoses from trucks to get water flowing quickly.

“Minutes count when at a fire scene and practicing helps us become faster and more efficient when the fire tones go off,” the department said in a statement.
