LANESBOROUGH, Mass. (Aug. 16, 2025) — The Lanesborough Fire Department held its annual picnic Saturday, thanking families for their support throughout the year.

Fire officials said the event recognizes the sacrifices families make when members are called away from holidays and gatherings to respond to emergencies.

“We could not do what we do without the support of our families,” the department said in a statement.

The celebration included a bounce house donated by Tim Sayers and portable restrooms provided by Berkshire-Pittsfield Septic.
