FALMOUTH, Mass. (Aug. 6, 2025) — Firefighters knocked down a blaze in heavy equipment Wednesday afternoon at Cape Cod Aggregates on Thomas B. Landers Road, officials said.
An employee reported the fire around 1:30 p.m. Engine 20 arrived to find a front-end loader about 80 percent involved. Crews used water and foam to fully extinguish the flames.
A second engine was requested to provide an additional water source. The business owner told officials there had been no prior issues with the machine.
The fire is under investigation by the department’s Fire Investigation Unit.
