Saturday, 16 August 2025, at 11:00 a.m. – Members of the Ashford Volunteer Fire Department participated in a vehicle extrication training session designed to strengthen their emergency response skills.
During the training, firefighters practiced with a variety of rescue tools, including hydraulic and hand-operated equipment, while also learning and applying new extrication techniques. These exercises focused on safely removing victims from crashed or overturned vehicles, a critical skill for responding to serious motor vehicle accidents.
Department officials emphasized that regular hands-on training ensures members remain prepared for real-world emergencies, where quick and precise action can save lives.
