SHIRLEY, NY - On August 20th at about 9:08 P.M., Mastic Beach Ambulance Co. was activated for a report of a motor vehicle accident on Beacon St. at Amarr Dr. First Responder unit 5-39-81, along with Ambulances 5-39-17 and 19 and Assistant Chief Felder (5-39-32), responded to the scene. On arrival they found a motorbike that had been struck and went to work evaluating one patient. Mastic Beach FD was also dispatched to the scene as well as Suffolk County Police 7th Precinct officers. One person was transported by Ambulance 5-39-17 to a local hospital with minor injuries. The remaining units were placed back into service a short time later.
