BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025) — A shed fire on Mill Street was quickly brought under control Wednesday afternoon after multiple 911 calls prompted a full alarm response, officials said.
The fire was reported around 2:59 p.m. Crews from Engine 1 arrived first and confirmed a working fire in the backyard shed, stretching a hose line to begin suppression. Quint 2 established a water supply and assisted with the attack, while Squad 21 deployed a second line to help extinguish the flames.
The fire was contained to the shed, and firefighters checked nearby structures for possible extension.
No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
