Mutual aid crews battle early morning house fire in Old Lyme

OLD LYME, Conn. (Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2025) — Firefighters from several towns, including Old Saybrook, responded early Wednesday to a house fire in Old Lyme that left the structure heavily damaged, officials said.
The blaze was reported at 1:44 a.m. Mutual aid was also provided by Clinton, Lyme and East Lyme fire departments.
Crews worked for several hours to bring the fire under control. No injuries were immediately reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
