GLOVER, Vt. (Monday, Sept. 1, 2025) — Firefighters battled a fully involved structure fire on Borland Road Monday night, working quickly to protect nearby buildings from flames, officials said.

The Glover Fire Department was dispatched at 8:52 p.m. and immediately requested assistance from the Orleans Fire Department for engines, a tanker and manpower. Orleans Engine 1 established a water supply for incoming tankers while Glover crews launched an aggressive exterior attack to protect exposures.

Glover Engine 1, Rescue 1 and Tanker 1 arrived on scene simultaneously, joining forces to contain the blaze. Neighbors, including former Glover Fire Chief Mark Wright and former Assistant Chief Dan Nelson, also assisted.

All units cleared the scene around midnight. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
